So it’s summer in February for me! As I’ve been going to the gym, I’ve realized I really prefer wearing tank tops instead of technical tees for pretty much everything. (well, except the pool, but I have some fashion enhancements there too!)
But I only had a certain number of tanks, which was fine in the summertime when it’s usually under 90 degrees, but not at the gym. I think it’s the humidity or the being stationary on the treadmill or bike that makes me want to have bare arms. Or just wishing it was summer…
Instead of purchasing a bunch of new tank tops (BTW I love Lululemon tanks!), I decided to take action myself and also clear out some of my race shirts that were a little on the big side, and I made my own tank tops!
Here how to make a DIY tank top from extra athletic shirts, such as those from running road races. Save money by making them into tank tops!

We’ll see how these go and if they work well enough for me to stretch my budget and avoid buying some new tanktops for a while.
What types of clothing crafting have you done?
Last week my boss told me she envisions me to be a very crafty person. I laughed – as I consider myself not too creative and not too crafty in comparison to others I know.
